| Johnson sharp in pitching debut: Mets catcher Rob Johnson was needed to pitch in Friday's blowout against the Blue Jays. With Toronto leading by nine in the eighth inning, Johnson needed just 10 pitches to retire the side in order, including striking out Eric Thames with an 87 mph fastball. Johnson also went 0 for 3 with an RBI and a walk in the 14-5 loss. (Updated 05/19/2012) |
