A Big East battle is on tap between the DePaul Blue Demons and the #19 Villanova Wildcats at 2 p.m. ET Saturday at Wintrust Arena. DePaul will be seeking to avenge the 91-71 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Feb. 19 of 2020.

The Blue Demons were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 89-84 to the St. John's Red Storm. DePaul's loss came about despite a quality game from guard Javon Freeman-Liberty, who had 24 points in addition to seven boards.

Meanwhile, Villanova couldn't have asked for a better start to 2022 than the 75-41 stomp they dished out against the Creighton Bluejays at home on Wednesday.
