The Vanderbilt Commodores haven't won a contest against the Florida Gators since Feb. 17 of 2018, but they'll be looking to end the drought on Tuesday. Vanderbilt and Florida will face off in an SEC battle at 8:30 p.m. ET at Memorial Gym. The point spread is more or less neutral, so fans should expect a close matchup.

The Commodores were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap this past Saturday as they fell 74-69 to the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Guard Jordan Wright wasn't much of a difference maker for Vanderbilt; Wright finished with ten points on 4-for-10 shooting in his 27 minutes on the court.

Meanwhile, Florida strolled past the Georgia Bulldogs with points to spare this past Saturday, taking the game 84-72. Florida got double-digit scores from four players: guard Phlandrous Fleming Jr. (27), guard Tyree Appleby (21), guard Myreon Jones (13), and forward Colin Castleton (10).

Florida's victory lifted them to 18-11 while Vanderbilt's defeat dropped them down to 14-14. In their win, the Gators relied heavily on Phlandrous Fleming Jr., who had 27 points in addition to five rebounds. the Commodores will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
