WATCH: Virginia Tech's Buzz Williams tells fans to 'quit cussing' during win vs. Duke
The Hokies would finish on an 8-3 run and win the game after Williams' word of wisdom
Virginia Tech snagged a résumé-boosting win it desperately needed on Monday over Duke in a 64-63 thriller, giving Buzz Williams and his team its 10th victory in ACC play this season.
The Hokies rallied from a 15-point deficit on their home floor, which had the fans in Blacksburg, Virginia, abuzz already. And once you factor in Grayson Allen and Duke's presence, well, you can see why Virginia Tech fans were plenty riled up inside the Cassell Coliseum.
But they got a little too riled up for Williams' liking, and after he heard some vulgar chants, he grabbed the mic and killed the buzz inside the arena by telling the student section to settle down.

How many times has that happened in the history of basketball? A head coach telling his own student section to take a chill pill? I'll set the over/under at 1 and place my bet on the under. A totally unique, quirky and hilarious response -- but one to which his team apparently responded well.
After Buzz took over the mic, the Hokies finished the game on an 8-3 run over the final 3:03 to win the game thanks to a final second tip-in to sink the Blue Devils.

Buzz Williams' antics might be questioned by some, but here's all I know: Virginia Tech is 1-0 all time when he takes over the mic and tells the student section to stop cursing. And that win came over a top-5 Duke team.
Carry on, Buzz!
