<img src= Junior Day this past weekend turned out to be a very productive one, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Over two days the Irish picked up commitments from four players in New Lenox (Ill.) offensive lineman Colin McGovern, Philadelphia (Pa.) offensive lineman Mike McGlinchey, Owensboro (Ky.) offensive lineman Hunter Bivin and Dayton (Ohio) quarterback Malik Zaire.

“I decided after leaving the tour and visit that it was something not a lot of people get to experience and it was something special you can’t pass up,” Zaire told 247Sports.

A dual-threat quarterback that is well-suited to Brian Kelly's offense, Zaire will come in with plenty of blockers up front. All three players are likely to end up playing tackle upon arriving in South Bend and had nothing but high praise regarding their visit there this weekend.

"It's beautiful out there," McGlinchey said. "It's a really great place. I got a great feel for what's going on. You're going to get the academic and athletic mix at Notre Dame."
The group gives the program seven class of 2013 commitments, four of whom are offensive linemen as the Irish look to reload at that position for next year. Zaire rushed for over 1,000 yards last season as a junior in addition to 729 yards passing and 20 total touchdowns.
