LOOK: Troy trolls LSU after netting near $1 million payday at Tigers' homecoming
Troy added insult to injury after stunning the Tigers in Death Valley
Troy stunned No. 25 LSU 24-21 on Saturday, marking a horrific loss for first-year coach Ed Orgeron and athletic director Joe Alleva. The game was homecoming for the Tigers, and traditionally, schools schedule homecoming opponents they can beat. Troy, as we know, is no pushover, but this is a game on paper that LSU should have won.
Walking out of Baton Rouge with a W, Troy made sure to add a little insult to injury to LSU via Twitter ...
Hey @LSU, thanks for having us down for homecoming! We really enjoyed it! 😁

Ouch.
Keep in mind that this wasn't just a loss. LSU paid Troy $985,000 to come and play. The loss is both expensive and humiliating. It snaps a 49-game nonconference home winning streak for LSU and is the first win over an SEC opponent for Troy since 2001.
Here's betting LSU doesn't strike any more deals with Troy in the future.
