Carolina waived Pierce on Friday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Pierce agreed to a reserve/future contract with the Panthers back in January, but they decided to let him go after adding talent at tight end in the draft. He'll now look for another chance with a new team.

Panthers' Chris Pierce: Signs with Panthers
The Panthers signed Pierce to a reserve/future contract Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Pierce landed on the Panthers' practice squad Dec. 12 after being waived by the Cardinals on July 25. He has yet to play an NFL game, but he will have the chance to compete for a roster spot during training camp over the summer.

Chris Pierce: Headed to Carolina
The Panthers signed Pierce to their practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Pierce was waived by the Cardinals back in July but will now get another chance with the Panthers. The 25-year-old will provide extra depth at tight end, as both Hayden Hurst (concussion) and Ian Thomas (ankle) are dealing with injuries.

Cardinals' Chris Pierce: Sticking around with Arizona
The Cardinals signed Pierce to a reserve/future contract Monday, Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com reports.
Pierce reverted to the Cardinals' injured reserve with an undisclosed injury Aug. 31 before reaching an injury settlement with the team shortly thereafter. The 24-year-old tight end then finished the season on the practice after re-joining the team Nov. 16. Pierce will look to make his NFL debut heading into the second season of his career in 2023.

The Cardinals signed Pierce to the practice squad Wednesday, Howard Balzer of SI.com reports.
Pierce previously worked out for Arizona in late October after reaching an injury settlement with the team in early September. The undrafted tight end, who spent his inaugural preseason with Arizona this summer, will now rejoin the team via the practice squad. With top tight end Zach Ertz (knee) set to miss the remainder of the season, Pierce could stand to make his NFL debut as a potential game-day elevation moving forward.
