Dolphins' Theo Wease: Might have concussion
Wease was evaluated for a possible concussion during Sunday's game against the Patriots, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The wide receiver caught three passes for 44 yards on five targets before exiting. Wease entered the day with three catches for 95 yards and a touchdown on the year.

Dolphins' Theo Wease: Scores first career TD
Wease secured his only target for a 63-yard touchdown during Miami's 20-17 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Wease recorded Miami's longest play of the day, connecting deep down the left side of the field for rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers' first of two passing touchdowns near the end of the first quarter. The Dolphins signed Wease to the active roster from the practice squad in advance of Sunday's matchup, after having elevated him to make his regular-season debut versus Cincinnati in Week 16. The undrafted rookie out of Missouri will work to showcase his talents again in a difficult road matchup against the Patriots in Week 18.

Dolphins' Theo Wease: Signs with active roster
The Dolphins signed Wease to the active roster from the practice squad Saturday.
Wease was elevated for the Dolphins' Week 16 loss to the Bengals. The wide receiver played 36 percent of offensive snaps in the contest, catching two of his four targets for 32 yards. The signing was coupled with Dee Eskridge's (toe) move to injured reserve.

Dolphins' Theo Wease: Back to practice squad
Wease reverted to the Dolphins' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
The undrafted rookie out of Missouri was called up from the practice squad and made his NFL regular-season debut during Sunday's loss against the Bengals. He ended up playing 21 of 59 offensive snaps (35.6 percent) and finished with two catches (on four targets) for 32 yards, with both of his receptions occurring inside the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter. Wease's increased workload on offense came after Dee Eskridge was removed from Sunday's game in the third quarter due to a toe injury. Wease would be a top candidate to be elevated to the Dolphins' active roster for this Sunday against the Buccaneers if Eskridge is unable to play.

Dolphins' Theo Wease: Elevated for Week 16
The Dolphins have elevated Wease from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Wease will perhaps get an opportunity to make his regular-season debut versus Cincinnati on Sunday. If that happens, expect the undrafted rookie out of Missouri to contribute in a reserve capacity for Miami in what will be quarterback Quinn Ewers' first career start.

Theo Wease: Joining Fins' practice squad
Miami signed Wease to its practice squad Thursday.
The undrafted rookie couldn't play his way onto the Dolphins' final 53-man roster for 2025, but Wease is sticking around on the practice squad. It would probably take multiple injuries to Miami wideouts for Wease to see regular-season action this year.

Theo Wease: Cut by Miami
The Dolphins waived Wease on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Undrafted out of Missouri, Wease signed with Miami back in April and played 70 offensive snaps during the preseason, finishing with a productive 10-104-2 receiving line on 15 targets. He was also standing out during training camp, so Wease could be a candidate to join the Dolphins' practice squad if he clears waivers.

Dolphins' Theo Wease: Making case to stick around
Wease secured six of nine targets for 80 yards and two scores during Saturday's 24-17 preseason win over the Lions.
Wease led the Dolphins in terms of targets, yards and touchdowns Saturday, with only Tanner Conner matching his receptions total. Both of his scores came with fellow rookie Quinn Ewers under center, with the two first connecting in the third quarter to tie things up at 14 overall, then once more early in the fourth quarter to give Miami a game-winning lead. Wease and Ewers will have another chance to demonstrate their chemistry during the Dolphins' preseason finale against Jacksonville next Saturday. If Wease can keep up his momentum, he'll have a fair shot to earn a spot on Miami's practice squad.

Theo Wease: Plans to go to South Beach
Wease is slated to sign with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Wease played six years of college football with the final two being at Missouri, where he posted 109 receptions for 1,566 yards and 10 touchdowns across 26 games. He has decent athleticism and is a polished route runner, and there are certainly spots available in Miami if he can put together a strong training camp and the preseason.
