Angels' Brendan Ryan: Clears waivers, outrighted to Triple-A

Ryan cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

Three days after being DFA'd, Ryan will head back to Salt Lake, where he's hitting .263 with eight RBI and 17 strikeouts in 21 games this season. The veteran failed to make an impact in limited action for the Angels, compiling just one hit in 13 at-bats over 17 games.
