The Angels needed to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Nick Buss on Saturday, so Coyle was the casualty. The 24-year-old is slashing .159/.263/.274 in the minors this year. He'll now be subject to waivers, but he could return to the Angels if he goes unclaimed.
