Athletics' Conner Capel: Recalled to majors

Capel was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Capel was claimed off waivers by the A's earlier this month and is now set to join their big-league club after posting a .799 OPS over 32 plate appearances with Las Vegas. Fellow outfielder Cody Thomas will be optioned to Triple-A in order to make room for Capel on the active roster.
