Leon was designated for assignment Wednesday by the Blue Jays, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports.
Leon has given up earned runs in each of his two appearances this season and hasn't pitched since April 9. Leon was designated for assignment to make room for Pat Venditte, the switch-pitcher.
