Braves' Peter O'Brien: Signs minors deal with Atlanta

O'Brien joined the Braves as a non-roster invitee Wednesday.

O'Brien has received 200 big-league plate appearances over parts of four seasons but hasn't done much with them, hitting .209/.275/.434 with a 36.5 percent strikeout rate. He'll likely be an organizational depth option for the Braves this season.
