Cotham retired from baseball Thursday.
The 27-year-old was originally drafted in the fifth round of the 2009 draft by the Yankees, but also spent time in the Reds and Mariners organizations. Cotham will end his playing career to bring value to baseball in ways other than playing after pitching 34 major-league innings with a 7.15 ERA in his career.
