Cardinals' Brandon Dickson: Contract selected Wednesday

Dickson's contract was selected from Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday.

Dickson posted a 9.58 ERA and 2.38 WHIP in 10.1 innings across 11 appearances with the Triple-A club after he joined the Cardinals on a minor-league deal in mid-June. The 36-year-old hasn't pitched in the majors since 2012, and he should mainly be available in low-leverage situations.
