Cubs' Dallas Beeler: Makes first appearance of year Friday

Beeler (elbow) made his first appearance of the season Friday, throwing two innings for Triple-A Iowa.

Beeler has been on the DL all season with an elbow strain and shoulder inflammation in his pitching arm, but he's currently rehabbing with Iowa. There's no guarantee he'll be brought up to Chicago when he's ready, which could be a couple of weeks from now.
