Diamondbacks' Matt Buschmann: Contract selected Friday

Buschmann had his contract purchased by the Diamondbacks on Friday, Jack Magruder of Fanragsports.com reports.

The Diamondbacks bullpen has been a disappointment to start the season, so the club is hoping the addition of a veteran like Buschmann to the mix can help level things out. Buschmann spent all of last season at Triple-A, playing with three different organizations and working a combined 4.08 ERA. He'll be a depth option out of the bullpen but is unlikely to earn a fantasy relevant role.
