Andino went 1-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in Triple-A New Orleans' 4-2 loss to Iowa on Thursday.

Andino had a great spring, batting 10-for-29 for a .345 average and .424 OBP. In 2015, the infielder split time between Somerset in the independent Atlantic League and Santurce in the Puerto Rican Winter League and hit .248 and .263, respectively. Given the 31-year-old's relatively extensive experience in the majors (468 games) and his ability to play multiple positions, he could receive a call up in 2016 if a Marlins infielder goes down with an injury.
