Marlins' Victor Mesa: Sent back to Triple-A

The Marlins optioned Mesa to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday.

After getting called up from Jacksonville on Aug. 31, Mesa hit .200 with one home run, five RBI and six runs scored over 25 at-bats in 12 contests. He'll lose his spot on the 28-man active roster with the Marlins bringing Dane Myers (oblique) back from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game in Colorado.
