Mets' Dedniel Nunez: Lands on injured list

The Mets placed Nunez on the 15-day injured list Friday, retroactive to June 24, with a pronator strain in his right forearm.

It's unclear when the right-hander actually sustained the injury, but he made his last appearance Tuesday against the Yankees and delivered a scoreless inning. Nunez will be eligible to be reinstated Aug. 8, though a longer absence wouldn't be surprising given the nature of the injury.
