Nationals' Francisco Mejia: Inks MiLB pact with Nationals

The Nationals signed Mejia to a minor-league contract July 3.

Mejia had been playing in the Mexican League. The 29-year-old spent last season at Triple-A Nashville in the Brewers organization and last appeared in the majors in 2023. Mejia has been assigned to Single-A Fredericksburg for now but will likely eventually move up to Triple-A Rochester.
