O'Day (hamstring) played catch off flat ground on Friday, Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reports.
O'Day continues to show positive signs in his recovery from a hamstring strain suffered on June 3. He's been throwing bullpen sessions and appears to be working out final kinks as he nears the end of his rehab program. The Orioles have said that the 33-year-old could return after the All-Star Break so a rehab assignment could be bypassed in favor of a more expedited major league return.
