Orioles' Louis Head: Sent down Thursday

Head was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday.

Head was called up by the Orioles in early August, and he recorded a 1.80 ERA and 2.00 WHIP in five innings over five relief appearances with the big-league club. However, he'll head back to the minors after Rico Garcia was recalled from Norfolk.
