Phillies' Louis Head: Cut from big-league camp

The Phillies reassigned Head to minor-league camp Monday.

Unless the Phillies grant him the opportunity to explore his options in free agency, Head looks poised to open the season at Triple-A Lehigh Valley after failing to secure a spot in the big club's Opening Day bullpen. The 32-year-old righty appeared in 28 games in the majors between the Marlins and Orioles in 2022, logging a 6.28 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 26:15 K:BB across 28.2 innings.
