Harrison (back) was not present when pitchers and catchers reported to Phillies camp Wednesday, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports. General manager Matt Klentak said, "We're not expecting him to be here any time soon, if at all this year. If things go well, we'll be happy to get him back, but the reality is we're kind of in a wait-and-see mode and we have to let it play out."
Harrison wasn't expected to be ready for spring training, but Klentak's comments suggest Harrison could miss the entire 2016 season. The southpaw's return to active competition will be completely dependent on how well he can recover from hyperthyroidism, a type of lower-back inflammation. He underwent spinal fusion surgery in June of 2014.
