Rays' Alexei Ramirez: Signs deal with Rays

Ramirez signed with the Rays on Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

With Matt Duffy missing the rest of the season, Ramirez will likely see frequent time at shortstop for the remainder of the year. He hasn't brought much value to the plate in 2016, as he owns a .240/.275/.330 line, well below his career mark of .270/.307/.393.
