Reds' Alfredo Simon: Activated from DL

Simon (shoulder) was activated from the DL on Monday.

Simon had been on the disabled list since June 22, but is finally ready to return to action. While on his rehab assignment, Simon allowed eight runs over 15 innings, good for a 4.80 ERA. He hasn't had much luck in with the big club this season either, as he owns a 9.45 ERA and 2.06 WHIP after pitching 53.1 innings.
