Cotham will undergo knee surgery and is expected to be out five-to-six months, Zach Buchanan of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Shoulder inflammation is what originally put Cotham on the DL at the end of May, but it's a knee injury that will end his season. Cotham was knocked around to the tune of a 7.40 ERA and 1.81 WHIP in 23 appearances this season and it's uncertain if he'll be back with the Reds next year.
