Reds' Christian Colon: DFA'd by Cincy

Colon was designated for assignment by the Reds on Friday.

Colon appeared in 11 games and had a .341 OPS this season, so the Reds opted to remove him from the 40-man roster. The 31-year-old could return to the team's alternate training site if he goes unclaimed on waivers.
