Cincinnati selected Salazar's contract from Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday.

Salazar signed with the Reds out of Venezuela in 2017 and had been enjoying a breakout season so far in the minors, working to a 0.51 ERA and 25:3 K:BB in 17.2 innings of relief between Double-A and Triple-A. The 25-year-old right-hander will be making his MLB debut when he first appears out of the Cincinnati bullpen.
