Rockies' Fernando Abad: Added to roster

The Rockies selected Abad's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.

Abad had a dominant run at Albuquerque to earn a promotion, posting a 1.69 ERA and 20:2 K:BB over 16 frames. The veteran reliever will provide manager Bud Black with another left-handed option in the bullpen.
