Rockies' Rio Ruiz: Cast off 40-man roster

Ruiz was outrighted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday.

Ruiz was sent to the minors on the final day of the regular season but will now be removed from the 40-man roster. He made 62 appearances with the Orioles and Rockies in 2021 and hit .168 with three homers, 11 runs, 10 RBI and two stolen bases.
