Rockies' Rio Ruiz: Recalled by Colorado

Ruiz was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.

Ruiz was sent down in early August, and he hit .269 with a home run, four doubles, nine runs, five RBI and a stolen base across 13 games during his most recent stint with the minor-league club. He should serve as infield depth in the majors after Alan Trejo was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.
