Royals' Clint Barmes: Signs minor league deal with Royals

Barmes signed a minor league deal with the Royals on Thursday, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.

The 36-year-old doesn't appear ready to call it a career just yet. He spent 2015 with the Padres, hitting .232/.281/.353 with three home runs and 16 RBI. However, if he doesn't make the big league team, retirement could be looming. His fantasy value is likely to be minimal in 2016.
