Tigers' Cesar Ramos: Signs minor league contract with Tigers

Ramos inked a minor league contract with Detroit on Friday, and will head to Triple-A Toledo.

Ramos was DFA'd by the Rangers on July 22 and cleared waivers a week later before being scooped up by the Tigers. During his time with Texas, Ramos posted a 6.04 ERA with a 1.68 WHIP during 47.2 innings of work, appearing in 16 games with four starts sprinkled in. He could wind up getting some time on the Tigers within the next couple months, but will begin his time with the organization in Toledo.
