Twins' David Murphy: Signs minor league deal with Twins

Murphy signed a minor league deal with the Twins on Thursday, the Star Tribune's LaVelle Neal reports.

Murphy reportedly isn't expected to spend much time with Triple-A Rochester, so one of the Twins' outfielders is on the hot seat. That said, Murphy was unsigned for a reason, as he offers a veteran presence and a solid bat against lefties, and not much else. He will report to Rochester on Friday.
