White Sox's John Holdzkom: Placed on disabled list

Holdzkom was placed on the DL with an undisclosed injury, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Holdzkom signed with the White Sox and was assigned to Triple-A Charlotte earlier in the day, but the exact nature of the ailment is unclear at this point. The 28-year-old posted a 3.22 ERA at the Triple-A level last season and will serve as organizational depth in the bullpen when healthy.
