White Sox's Maikel Cleto: Signs minor league deal with White Sox

Cleto signed a minor league contract with the White Sox, Baseball America reports.

Control issues plagued Cleto during his time with the big club in 2014 and continued into spring training, leading to his outright assignment to Triple-A Charlotte just before the start of last season. He was able to overcome those issues to a significant extent with Charlotte (3.00 ERA, 10.8 K/9), but Cleto has more to prove to regain a spot on the 40-man roster.
