The White Sox announced Monday they purchased the contract of reliever Maikel Cleto from Triple-A Charlotte.
Cleto went 3-0 with a 5.91 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 22 relief appearances with the Knights. He threw 7 2/3 scoreless innings over his final five outings, which included 13 strikeouts.
