Yankees' Mark Teixeira: Blasts grand slam in Friday victory

Teixeira went 2-for-3 with a grand slam, two walks and two runs in a 7-5 victory over the Rays on Friday.

The veteran slugger vaulted back over the Mendoza Line with his banner night, which was highlighted by his 390-foot shot to right center in the fourth and extended the Yankees' lead to 7-2. The pair of hits Friday were Teixeira's first of September after starting off the month with an 0-for-8 stretch over the first three games in which he registered an at-bat.
