Yankees' Zack Short: Inks minors deal with Yankees

The Yankees signed Short to a minor-league contract Dec. 12.

Short had a .671 OPS in 22 games with the Astros in 2025 and is a career .172/.271/.296 hitter across parts of five major-league seasons. The utility infielder is slated to provide some experienced depth at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
