Kings' Lamar Patterson: Claimed by Kings

Patterson was claimed off waivers Thursday by the Kings, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Patterson was released by the Hawks after not being seen as a fit on their roster in his rookie season, and now the shooting guard will join a fairly crowded Sacramento backcourt till at least training camp. With the likes of Arron Afflalo, Ben Mclemore and rookie Malachi Richardson all in place at the shooting guard position, there's a good chance Patterson's stay in Sacramento could be a short one.
