Pistons' Chris Smith: Plays 19 minutes in pro debut

Smith (knee) scored six points (2-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and added seven rebounds, one assist and one block across 19 minutes Sunday in the G League Motor City Cruise's 133-114 win over the College Park Skyhawks.

Smith was cleared to make his professional debut after he spent the first two and a half months of the season finishing up his rehab for the surgery he required last January to repair a torn ACL. As a two-way player, Smith should soon get the opportunity to join the Pistons, though he's not expected to be a regular contributor at the NBA level as a rookie.
