49ers' Quinton Patton: Out for rest of season

Patton (foot) has been ruled out for the remainder of this season, Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports.

Patton was forced to leave early from Sunday's loss to the Falcons due to a foot injury, which will sideline him for the 49ers' final two contests as well. With 37 catches on 63 targets for 408 yards, Patton currently ranks second on San Francisco in receiving, even though he didn't score a touchdown this season. In the wake of his upcoming absence, and with Torrey Smith still in concussion protocol, Jeremy Kerley and Rod Streater could lead the team's receiving corps to start this week.
