Goldson signed a contract with the Falcons on Sunday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

After first-round pick Keanu Neal suffered a knee injury that will cost him between 3-to-4 weeks, the Falcons needed some additional help at safety, so they've opted to bring in Goldson. The nine-year veteran spent the 2015 campaign with the Redskins, notching 11 takles, one forced fumble and an interception over 15 games. He should slot in as a depth option behind Kemal Ishmael until Neal is healthy.
