Martin signed a two-year contract with San Francisco on Tuesday, Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports.
Released by the Patriots at final roster cuts, Martin lands with a team that has far less talent at his position. He's still more likely to have a role in the return game than on offense, at least for the immediate future. Martin could replace Jeremy Kerley as the top punt returner.
