Raiders' Daniel Ross: Getting close to return

Ross (foot) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Ross will return to practice and has a 21-day window to be activated from IR, and he could be available for this Sunday's matchup against the Chargers. The 27-year-old defensive tackle could have an immediate role on defense if Maurice Hurst (ankle) is ruled out.
