Adam Werner: Hitting open market

Werner was not qualified by Colorado on Monday and will become a free agent, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.

Werner recorded a .908 save percentage and a 2.55 GAA in 11 AHL games last season while dancing between the minors and Colorado's taxi squad. The 24-year-old suited up for two NHL games during the 2019-20 campaign, allowing five goals on 58 shots. He could sign as an organizational depth piece this offseason.
