Avalanche's Jason Polin: Sent down after Sunday's game

Polin was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Sunday.

Polin logged two hits, two blocked shots and a plus-1 rating in 5:03 of ice time during Sunday's 1-0 win over the Blackhawks. The Avalanche are dealing with multiple injuries up front, so it wouldn't be surprising if this move is just a cap-saving measure, which could result in Polin being elevated from the minors again in the near future.
