Grigori Denisenko: Bound for Russia

Denisenko signed a one-year contract with Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL on Tuesday.

Denisenko logged just one NHL game last year in which he generated five hits and two PIM in 8:27 of ice time. While the door likely remains open, the 25-year-old winger's stint in the NHL was far from productive -- he failed to score a goal in 33 outings -- so he may be hard-pressed to earn another opportunity.
